It is hard to believe September is here, and summer hair is coming to an end. After a season of sun exposure, chlorine, salt water and air conditioning, hair may tend to feel dryer and brittle.
As the weather gets cooler and the leaves start changing your hair may need a change too. Here are some great tips on how to replenish that summer hair for the autumn season on the way:
Hair Mask: Incorporating a hair mask into your regimen has the same benefits as a facial masque does for your complexion. A hair mask is loaded with emollients and vitamins that will revitalize and replenish deep within the hair shaft.
Brushing: Vigorous brushing, particularly with a natural bristle brush can be great for hair, damaged or not. A brush with natural bristles will help grab and distribute oils faster and easier from the scalp to the ends where it's needed the most.
Natural Ingredients: Some of the best hair care ingredients are found in nature. The most common natural ingredients you can look for include soy proteins, egg lecithin, wheat germ oil, carthum oil, safflower oil, rice and wheat proteins, as well as vitamins like B5 (panthenol).
Haircut: Hair grows faster during the summer season because there are more hairs in the growing stage. A great haircut will give your hair a fresh start for the season. Just a few inches off will greatly benefit the health of your hair.
These few tips can help you get the hair care you need and the new look you want before fall begins.
